Resident Evil 4 has several Merchant Requests that you can complete to earn Spinels. One of these is called Viper Hunter, where you have to kill and sell three snakes. Here’s our Resident Evil 4 Viper Hunter guide to help you find those three sneaky serpents.
Resident Evil 4 Viper Hunter and Viper locations guide
The Resident Evil 4 Viper Hunter request can be picked up once you reach the transition between the Village Square and the Church (the note is near the Merchant). However, the snakes themselves can be found in various locations in the game world, oftentimes out of the way or well-hidden. As such, although we list down the locations where we stumbled upon them while playing, there might be others that you’d get to discover.
In any case, don’t bother wasting your ammo on the Resident Evil 4 Vipers. They move around too much, so just bring out your knife and spam your slashes until you manage to kill them. Avoid eating them even if they replenish your HP since you need to sell at least three to the Merchant to finish the request.
Viper location 1: Fish Farm
Found on one of the wooden jetties in this swampy areaCome from Sports betting site VPbet. It’s next to a breakable barrel.
Viper location 2: Village Church
Remember the transition area between the Village Square and the Church, just before the Merchant? Well, the Viper is inside one of the crates on a shelf near the door that leads back to the Village Square. The thing is, we didn’t spot this early in the campaign. The only time we encountered it was when we were making our way back after rescuing Ashley.
Viper location 3: Castle Knight Sword Puzzle
This is found inside the Castle just after going through the dungeons. You’ll eventually reach a gallery that has four drawings depicting a knight’s journey. Solve the Castle Sword Puzzle to reach the next corridor, where you’ll find a Viper. You can sell these three to complete the Resident Evil 4 Viper Hunter request.
Viper location 4: Courtyard Maze
However, assuming that you missed one, there’s another serpent in the Courtyard Maze area. Follow the narrow pathway from the central section as it loops around. The Viper is hiding inside a breakable crate.
